The region’s economy is built on the transport and logistics, aeronautical, automobile, agro-alimentary and environmental sectors.... and is strengthened by service sector activities both to businesses and individuals.


Over recent years, companies and expertise in the following areas have joined these main areas of activity:  manufacturing equipment, textiles and leather goods, housing and construction equipment, graphics and packaging, outsourcing in mechanics, hollow-ware and industrial surfacing. 

Alongside the many SME/SMI, Indre is also home to national and international market leaders.

The department also has a multitude of services, businesses and small traders at the service of its community and many of these are located in rural areas.

Businesses, services, small traders...bakeries, multiservice stores, restaurants...

Supporting the development and the survival of activities in rural areas is one of adei’s missions.
